SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION-2018/2019 (year of study)

The African Paediatric Fellowship Programme is building sustainable multidisciplinary child health capacity for Africa. The APFP equips Doctors with specialist and sub-specialist skills and knowledge they need, through a complimentary Fellowship scheme. The APFP Fellowships are delivered through a collaborative arrangement between the Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and Paediatric Sub- specialties at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Hospital- Durban, and General Paediatrics at UKZN Teaching Hospitals complex. Our curricula and practice-based learning are tailored to address the child health priorities and capacity building needs identified by our African partner hospitals, and provincial and national health departments. Fellows return to their home countries with new skills, knowledge and qualifications and go on to lead important developments in child health systems and services throughout Africa. The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, and meals. Self-funded applicants are welcome to apply.
